Genesis 1:5-13

^5 (A)God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.” And ^(B)there was evening and there was morning, one day.

⁶ Then God said, “Let there be ^[a]an ^(C)expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” ⁷ God made the ^[b]expanse, and separated ^(D)the waters that were below the ^[c]expanse from the waters ^(E)that were above the ^[d]expanse; and it was so. ⁸ God called the ^[e]expanse “heaven.” And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

⁹ Then God said, “^(F)Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let ^(G)the dry land appear”; and it was so. ¹⁰ And God called the dry land “earth,” and the ^(H)gathering of the waters He called “seas”; and God saw that it was good. ¹¹ Then God said, “Let the earth sprout ^[f](I)vegetation, ^[g]plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit according to ^[h]their kind ^[i]with seed in them”; and it was so. ¹² The earth produced ^[j]vegetation, ^[k]plants yielding seed according to ^[l]their kind, and trees bearing fruit ^[m]with seed in them, according to ^[n]their kind; and God saw that it was good. ¹³ And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
